How much to install a drop axle? | Heavy Equipment Forums

Kefid · Just an educated guess I'd think in the $5,000-$6,000 range. Choice of tire might change that a bit. Last dual tire pusher I bought was around $3,500. Assuming there isn't a bunch of stuff to move to install I can see that costing more than $1,500. Cost of wheels and tires would be the other variable.

I sold my 98 six axle 4 years ago cheap because of that rule the guy is still running it legally down the road today.

Attention tri axle dump truck owners 2021 spif axle law

Kefid · These trucks are grossly overweight since the new law on Jan 1st, 2021. I'm assuming that the new law is not being enforced in this area. Not sure why this is other than the fact that tri-axle dump truck owners are unable to retrofit their trucks due to an industry-wide shortage of critical computor parts related to the spif axle.
